Community Compass Tool Access and Data Use Agreement
Section 1. Definitions
For purposes of this Agreement, the following terms have the meanings described below.
1.1 Political HQ
Political HQ refers to Political HQ, politicalhq.info, and the tools, resources, systems, data, programs, and services made available through or on behalf of Political HQ.
Political HQ administers the Community Compass and supports the Organizing for Good movement and its initiatives.
1.2 Organizing for Good
Organizing for Good refers to the collaborative civic organizing movement supported by Political HQ that brings together Community Connectors, volunteers, candidates, campaigns, organizers, organizations, and community resources for the shared purpose of strengthening Democratic organizing and civic participation.
Organizing for Good is intended to support a broader network of candidates, communities, and organizing efforts rather than create resources for the exclusive benefit of a single candidate, campaign, organization, or individual.
1.3 Organizing for Good Initiatives
Organizing for Good Initiatives refers to activities, programs, projects, canvassing efforts, volunteer coordination, community engagement, voter outreach, resource sharing, and other organizing activities authorized or recognized by Political HQ as consistent with the purpose of Organizing for Good.
1.4 Community Compass
Community Compass refers to the tool, platform, interface, database, and related functionality provided through Political HQ for identifying, connecting, coordinating, and organizing community resources, Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, candidates, and other authorized participants.
Community Compass is a shared Organizing for Good resource. It is not a campaign management platform, voter file, campaign CRM, or campaign-specific volunteer management system.
1.5 Community Compass Data
Community Compass Data means any information obtained directly or indirectly from the Community Compass or through the use of Political HQ resources associated with the Community Compass.
Community Compass Data includes, but is not limited to:
- Names and contact information.
- Community Connector or volunteer information.
- Geographic or territorial information.
- Candidate or campaign information.
- Community and organizational information.
- Canvassing or organizing information.
- Lists, reports, notes, relationships, connections, or other information derived from Community Compass.
- Information copied, exported, recorded, summarized, reformatted, transferred, communicated, or incorporated into another list, document, system, platform, database, spreadsheet, message, or resource.
Community Compass Data remains subject to this Agreement regardless of the format in which it exists or the number of individuals or organizations through which it has been shared.
1.6 Community Connector
A Community Connector is an individual participating in Organizing for Good who helps identify, connect, organize, and support people and resources within a defined community, territory, or geographic area.
Community Connectors participate as part of the broader Organizing for Good network and are not exclusive resources of any particular candidate, campaign, organization, or individual.
1.7 Organizing for Good Volunteer
An Organizing for Good Volunteer is an individual who has joined the Organizing for Good network and made themselves available to participate in canvassing, organizing, community engagement, voter outreach, or other Organizing for Good Initiatives.
Organizing for Good Volunteers retain the right to determine whether, when, where, and how they participate in any particular activity or candidate-related effort.
1.8 Candidate and Campaign Participant
A Candidate or Campaign Participant includes a candidate, campaign staff member, campaign volunteer, consultant, contractor, representative, or other individual acting for, supporting, or working with a candidate or campaign.
For purposes of this Agreement, organizations or individuals granted Community Compass access for similar organizing purposes may also be subject to the requirements applicable to Candidate and Campaign Participants.
1.9 Other Organization
An Other Organization is any political, civic, advocacy, community, nonprofit, grassroots, or other organized group that is not acting solely as an individual candidate or campaign but is granted access to the Community Compass or receives, uses, stores, organizes, shares, or otherwise benefits from Community Compass Data.
Other Organizations may include organizations participating directly in Organizing for Good initiatives, organizations collaborating with Community Connectors or Organizing for Good Volunteers, or organizations receiving Community Compass Data for an authorized Organizing for Good purpose.
Other Organizations are subject to the same restrictions governing Community Compass access, Community Compass Data, shared volunteer resources, referrals, third-party sharing, and good-faith participation.
Access to or receipt of Community Compass Data does not authorize an Other Organization to use that information to create an exclusive volunteer, canvassing, organizing, or contact resource for its own independent purposes unless explicitly authorized by Political HQ.
1.10 Recipient
A Recipient is any individual or entity that receives, accesses, uses, stores, reproduces, organizes, transfers, or otherwise benefits from Community Compass Data, whether directly through Political HQ or indirectly through another person or organization.
A Recipient does not need to have a Political HQ account or direct access to the Community Compass to be considered a Recipient under this Agreement.
Community Compass Data does not become unrestricted solely because it has been provided to a Recipient.
Section 2. Scope and Applicability
This Agreement governs access to and use of the Community Compass and all Community Compass Data.
The requirements and restrictions contained in this Agreement apply to:
- Individuals with direct access to the Community Compass.
- Political HQ account holders who access or use Community Compass Data.
- Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers.
- Candidates and Campaign Participants.
- Organizations, consultants, service providers, and other authorized participants.
- Any Recipient who receives, accesses, uses, stores, reproduces, organizes, transfers, or otherwise benefits from Community Compass Data.
The requirements governing Community Compass Data follow the data.
Community Compass Data remains subject to the purpose and restrictions of this Agreement when it is copied, shared, transferred, exported, summarized, reformatted, communicated, entered into another system, incorporated into another list, or otherwise used outside of Political HQ.
A person or organization may not avoid the requirements of this Agreement by obtaining Community Compass Data from another user rather than accessing the Community Compass directly.
An authorized user may not provide Community Compass Data to another person or organization for the purpose of performing an activity that the authorized user would be prohibited from performing under this Agreement.
Use of Community Compass Data is permitted only for purposes consistent with Organizing for Good and its authorized initiatives.
Section 3. General Use of Community Compass and Community Compass Data
The Community Compass and Community Compass Data may be accessed, used, shared, or otherwise utilized only when reasonably necessary to support an authorized Organizing for Good Initiative.
Access to the Community Compass or Community Compass Data does not grant ownership of that information.
3.1 Permitted Use
Permitted uses may include:
- Identifying and connecting with Democratic voters within an authorized Community Connector territory or organizing area.
- Identifying and connecting with existing Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers.
- Facilitating communication necessary to support an authorized Organizing for Good Initiative.
- Identifying areas where additional organizing resources may be needed.
- Connecting Community Connectors with one another.
- Coordinating canvassing and other approved organizing activities.
- Supporting collaborative organizing efforts across multiple candidates, races, communities, and Organizing for Good Initiatives.
- Connecting authorized candidates, campaigns, organizations, and other participants with existing Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers.
Use of the Community Compass or Community Compass Data must remain consistent with the shared purpose of Organizing for Good.
3.2 Prohibited Use
The Community Compass and Community Compass Data may not be used to:
- Undermine, sabotage, interfere with, or intentionally disadvantage another participating candidate, organizer, Community Connector, Organizing for Good Volunteer, Other Organization, or Organizing for Good Initiative.
- Obtain volunteers, relationships, contacts, or other resources under the appearance of participating in Organizing for Good when the actual purpose is to build an exclusive organizing operation for a candidate, campaign, organization, or other entity.
- Create, maintain, distribute, or contribute to a candidate-specific, campaign-specific, organization-specific, or otherwise exclusive volunteer, canvassing, organizing, or contact list using Community Compass Data unless explicitly authorized by Political HQ.
- Sell, rent, license, monetize, or commercially exploit the Community Compass or Community Compass Data.
- Create unrelated marketing, fundraising, advertising, solicitation, or commercial contact lists.
- Scrape, harvest, systematically export, download, reproduce, or transfer Community Compass Data except where specifically authorized by Political HQ.
- Use Community Compass Data to harass, threaten, intimidate, discriminate against, surveil, profile, exploit, dox, or otherwise harm an individual or community.
- Use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data for any unlawful purpose.
- Use Community Compass Data in violation of applicable privacy, data protection, campaign, election, or other laws.
- Use another individual, organization, campaign, consultant, platform, database, or third party to perform an activity that would otherwise be prohibited under this Agreement.
3.3 Sharing Community Compass Data With Others
Community Compass Data may only be shared when reasonably necessary to carry out an authorized Organizing for Good Initiative.
When Community Compass Data is provided to a Recipient, the person or organization sharing the information agrees that:
- The information remains subject to the purpose and restrictions of this Agreement.
- The Recipient must be informed that the information originated directly or indirectly from the Community Compass or Political HQ.
- The Recipient must be informed that the information is being provided solely for an authorized Organizing for Good purpose.
- The Recipient must be informed that continued use of the information is subject to the data-use restrictions contained in this Agreement.
- Community Compass Data may not knowingly be provided to a Recipient who intends to use the information for a purpose inconsistent with Organizing for Good or this Agreement.
- Community Compass Data may not be provided to another person or organization for the purpose of creating an exclusive volunteer, canvassing, organizing, or contact resource for a candidate, campaign, organization, or other entity.
- A third party may not be used to perform an activity that the person sharing the information would be prohibited from performing directly under this Agreement.
Community Compass Data does not become unrestricted because it is copied, shared, transferred, reformatted, summarized, entered into another system, added to a spreadsheet or list, communicated through another platform, or provided to another person or organization.
A Recipient may use Community Compass Data only for the authorized Organizing for Good purpose for which it was provided and may not retain, reproduce, transfer, repurpose, or use the information beyond what is reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Political HQ may require any Recipient who continues to access or use Community Compass Data to create a Political HQ account, complete the applicable Organizing for Good onboarding process, and affirmatively accept this Agreement.
3.4 Participation Monitoring
Participation through the Community Compass may be tracked and recorded by Political HQ for the purpose of maintaining the integrity of the Organizing for Good network, identifying exclusionary behavior, investigating potential misuse, and enforcing this Agreement.
3.5 Referral Requirements
If the use, sharing, or distribution of Community Compass Data results in identifying or connecting with an individual who is not already identified as a Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer, that individual must be referred to Political HQ and directed through the applicable Organizing for Good onboarding process.
No user, Recipient, Candidate or Campaign Participant, Other Organization, Community Connector, or Organizing for Good Volunteer is authorized to use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data to identify new individuals and then bypass Political HQ or the Organizing for Good onboarding process in order to recruit, retain, organize, or manage those individuals exclusively for a candidate, campaign, organization, or other entity unless explicitly authorized by Political HQ.
The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that individuals identified through the Community Compass or Community Compass Data are given the opportunity to participate in the broader Organizing for Good network and understand the shared nature of that participation.
3.6 Good-Faith Participation
Access to the Community Compass and use of Community Compass Data require good-faith participation in Organizing for Good.
All users and Recipients must respect the shared nature of the Community Compass and the Organizing for Good network.
Using the Community Compass or Community Compass Data primarily to obtain information, volunteers, relationships, contacts, or other resources for the exclusive benefit of one candidate, campaign, organization, individual, or other entity in a manner that undermines the shared purpose of Organizing for Good is inconsistent with this Agreement.
Conduct may be considered inconsistent with good-faith participation even when the specific conduct is not expressly listed as a prohibited activity if the conduct is reasonably determined by Political HQ to intentionally circumvent the purpose or requirements of this Agreement.
Section 4. Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers
4.1 Participation in the Organizing for Good Network
Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers participate as part of a shared Organizing for Good network.
Participation through the Community Compass is not exclusive to a particular candidate, campaign, political organization, or other entity.
By participating as a Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer, you acknowledge that you may serve as a resource to Democratic candidates and Organizing for Good Initiatives within your community, territory, or other applicable organizing area.
Participation does not require a Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer to accept every canvassing request, volunteer opportunity, event, assignment, or candidate-related activity.
Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers retain the right to determine when, where, and how they are available to participate.
4.2 Working Directly With a Candidate or Campaign
Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers may separately choose to volunteer directly for, work with, or support an individual candidate or campaign.
A direct relationship with a candidate or campaign remains separate from participation in Organizing for Good.
If a Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer independently establishes a direct relationship with a candidate or campaign:
- That campaign-specific relationship must be managed through the candidate’s or campaign’s own systems, policies, agreements, tools, and procedures.
- The campaign must use its own authorized tools and resources for campaign-specific organizing, volunteer management, voter contact, canvassing, and other campaign operations.
- The direct campaign relationship does not automatically terminate the individual’s participation in Organizing for Good.
- Participation with a specific campaign does not authorize the Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer to use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data exclusively for that campaign.
- Community Compass access must continue to be used in a manner consistent with the shared purpose of Organizing for Good.
Information obtained independently by a campaign directly from an individual should be maintained within the campaign’s appropriate systems rather than using the Community Compass to manage that campaign-specific relationship.
Section 5. Candidates and Campaign Participants
5.1 Authorized Use
Candidates and Campaign Participants may be granted access to the Community Compass or Community Compass Data for the limited purpose of connecting and coordinating with existing Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers.
Authorized use may include:
- Locating known Community Connectors who may be available to support canvassing or another authorized organizing activity.
- Locating known Organizing for Good Volunteers when reasonably necessary to support an authorized Organizing for Good Initiative.
- Coordinating appropriate canvassing activities with available Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers.
- Collaborating with the broader Organizing for Good network.
5.2 Campaign Management Restrictions
The Community Compass is not a campaign management platform, voter file, CRM, campaign database, or campaign-specific volunteer management system.
Candidates and Campaign Participants must use the campaign tools and systems provided or authorized for their campaign to manage:
- Campaign-specific operations.
- Voter data and voter contact.
- Campaign supporters.
- Campaign-specific volunteers.
- Internal campaign activity.
- Campaign-specific canvassing.
- Campaign scheduling, assignments, and organizing tasks.
Community Compass Data may not be systematically copied, scraped, exported, transferred, reproduced, or entered into a campaign database or other campaign system for the purpose of creating or maintaining an independent campaign-specific volunteer, organizing, canvassing, or contact list.
5.3 Shared Volunteer Resources
Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers are shared resources within the Organizing for Good network.
Access to the Community Compass does not give a candidate, campaign, Campaign Participant, organization, or individual an exclusive right to any Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer.
Candidates and Campaign Participants may request assistance from available Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers and may work directly with individuals who voluntarily choose to participate in that campaign’s activities.
Candidates and Campaign Participants may not:
- Represent that a Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer belongs exclusively to their campaign.
- Prevent or discourage a Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer from assisting other candidates or Organizing for Good Initiatives.
- Require an individual to stop participating in the broader Organizing for Good network as a condition of working with a campaign.
- Intentionally redirect, consolidate, or isolate Community Connectors or Organizing for Good Volunteers in a manner designed to deprive other participating candidates or Organizing for Good Initiatives of access to the shared volunteer network.
- Use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data primarily as a recruiting source for building an independent or exclusive campaign volunteer operation.
- Use Community Compass Data to create or contribute to lists of volunteers for exclusive campaign use unless explicitly authorized by Political HQ.
Political HQ does not assign Community Connectors or Organizing for Good Volunteers to a candidate or campaign and does not guarantee that any particular person will be available, accept a request, participate in an activity, or provide a particular amount of volunteer assistance.
Section 6. Other Organizations
6.1 Authorized Use
Other Organizations may receive access to the Community Compass or Community Compass Data when that access is reasonably necessary to support an authorized Organizing for Good Initiative.
Access by an Other Organization does not create ownership of Community Compass Data, Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, relationships, or other resources made available through the Organizing for Good network.
6.2 Restrictions on Organizational Use
Other Organizations must use the Community Compass and Community Compass Data only for the authorized Organizing for Good purpose for which access was provided.
Other Organizations may not:
- Use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data to create an independent or exclusive volunteer, canvassing, organizing, membership, or contact database for the organization.
- Redirect Community Connectors or Organizing for Good Volunteers away from the broader Organizing for Good network for the organization’s exclusive benefit.
- Retain or repurpose Community Compass Data for unrelated organizational activities.
- Share Community Compass Data with another person or organization except as permitted under the Sharing Community Compass Data With Others section of this Agreement.
- Use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data to perform activities that would otherwise be prohibited under this Agreement.
If an Other Organization wishes to establish an independent relationship with an individual identified through Organizing for Good, that relationship must be established separately and may not be used to circumvent the Referral Requirements or other restrictions contained in this Agreement.
Section 7. Privacy and Responsible Data Use
The Community Compass may contain information about Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, organizers, candidates, campaigns, communities, businesses, organizations, and organizing activities.
Anyone accessing or using Community Compass Data agrees to exercise reasonable care when accessing, viewing, storing, communicating, sharing, or otherwise handling that information.
Access to Community Compass Data does not authorize public disclosure or use for purposes unrelated to Organizing for Good.
Only the information reasonably necessary to perform an authorized Organizing for Good activity should be accessed, used, or shared.
Additional information regarding Political HQ’s collection, storage, and handling of personal information is provided in the Political HQ Privacy Policy.
Section 8. Responsibility, Liability, and Enforcement
8.1 Responsibility for Misuse and Indemnification
Each user, Recipient, Candidate or Campaign Participant, Other Organization, Community Connector, Organizing for Good Volunteer, or other person or entity accessing or using the Community Compass or Community Compass Data is responsible for their own conduct and for complying with this Agreement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Political HQ, Organizing for Good, and their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, and affiliates from and against claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, penalties, fines, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of this Agreement.
- Your unauthorized access, use, retention, reproduction, transfer, disclosure, or distribution of Community Compass Data.
- Your use of Community Compass Data for a candidate-specific, campaign-specific, organization-specific, commercial, unlawful, or otherwise unauthorized purpose.
- Your creation, maintenance, distribution, or use of an unauthorized volunteer, canvassing, organizing, or contact list derived directly or indirectly from Community Compass Data.
- Your sharing of Community Compass Data with another person or entity in violation of this Agreement.
- The misuse of Community Compass Data by a person or entity to whom you knowingly provided the information in violation of this Agreement.
- Your violation of another person’s privacy, legal rights, or applicable law through the use of the Community Compass or Community Compass Data.
This obligation applies to losses or claims arising from conduct performed directly by you or, where applicable, through another individual, campaign, organization, consultant, contractor, service provider, or other third party acting at your direction or on your behalf.
Nothing in this section is intended to require indemnification for conduct or liability that cannot lawfully be indemnified under applicable law.
8.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Political HQ, Organizing for Good, and their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to access to, use of, inability to use, or misuse of the Community Compass or Community Compass Data.
This includes, but is not limited to, damages or losses arising from:
- The actions, decisions, statements, or conduct of Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, Candidates or Campaign Participants, Other Organizations, Recipients, or other third parties.
- A Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer choosing whether or not to participate in a candidate, campaign, canvassing activity, event, or Organizing for Good Initiative.
- The accuracy, completeness, availability, timeliness, or reliability of information contained in or obtained through the Community Compass.
- Unauthorized access to, disclosure of, retention of, sharing of, or misuse of Community Compass Data by another user, Recipient, campaign, organization, or third party.
- The use of Community Compass Data outside of Political HQ in violation of this Agreement.
- Communications, relationships, disputes, or activities that occur between users, volunteers, candidates, campaigns, organizations, or other participants.
- Decisions made by a candidate, campaign, organization, volunteer, or other participant based on information obtained through the Community Compass.
- Temporary or permanent interruption, suspension, modification, or termination of access to the Community Compass or any of its features.
- Loss of data, volunteer participation, campaign opportunities, organizing opportunities, or other resources.
Political HQ provides the Community Compass as a shared organizing and coordination resource. Political HQ does not guarantee the availability, participation, conduct, qualifications, performance, or suitability of any Community Connector, Organizing for Good Volunteer, Candidate or Campaign Participant, Other Organization, Recipient, or other participant.
Political HQ does not control and is not responsible for the independent conduct of candidates, campaigns, volunteers, organizations, or other third parties outside of Political HQ or the Community Compass.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Political HQ’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Community Compass, Community Compass Data, or this Agreement will not exceed the amount, if any, paid by the claimant to Political HQ for access to the Community Compass during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
8.3 Access, Monitoring, and Enforcement
Access to the Community Compass and Community Compass Data is provided for participation in Organizing for Good and is conditioned on compliance with this Agreement.
Political HQ may monitor use of the Community Compass, participation activity, data access, and other available information when reasonably necessary to protect Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, candidates, organizations, the Community Compass, or the Organizing for Good movement.
Political HQ may restrict, suspend, or revoke access when we reasonably believe that an individual, campaign, organization, Recipient, or other participant has:
- Violated this Agreement.
- Misused the Community Compass or Community Compass Data.
- Accessed or requested access to the Community Compass in bad faith.
- Used the Community Compass as an unauthorized campaign, organizational, volunteer recruitment, or volunteer management system.
- Created or contributed to an unauthorized candidate-specific, campaign-specific, organization-specific, or exclusive volunteer or contact list using Community Compass Data.
- Attempted to convert shared Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, relationships, or resources into exclusive resources.
- Shared Community Compass Data with another party for an unauthorized purpose.
- Used another person, organization, platform, or third party to circumvent the requirements of this Agreement.
- Used the Community Compass or Community Compass Data to undermine another participant, candidate, campaign, organization, or Organizing for Good Initiative.
- Bypassed Political HQ or the Organizing for Good onboarding process when a referral was required.
- Created a risk to the privacy, security, or safety of Community Compass participants.
- Otherwise acted materially contrary to the purpose of Organizing for Good.
Political HQ may also limit, suspend, or remove access for an entire group associated with a particular candidate, campaign, political organization, Other Organization, or other entity when reasonably necessary to protect participants, maintain the integrity of the Community Compass, enforce this Agreement, or protect the Organizing for Good movement and its initiatives.
Where Community Compass Data has been improperly shared, Political HQ may also require the applicable user, Recipient, campaign, or organization to discontinue use, sharing, retention, or distribution of that information.
8.4 Remedies for Violation
A violation of this Agreement may cause harm to Political HQ, Organizing for Good, Community Connectors, Organizing for Good Volunteers, participating candidates, organizations, or other individuals that may not be fully remedied by terminating access to the Community Compass.
In addition to restricting, suspending, or terminating access, Political HQ reserves the right to pursue any remedies available under applicable law or equity when this Agreement is violated.
Depending on the circumstances, such remedies may include:
- Requiring the immediate cessation of unauthorized use of Community Compass Data.
- Requiring the return, deletion, or destruction of improperly obtained, retained, copied, or distributed Community Compass Data and any lists or resources derived from that data.
- Seeking injunctive or other equitable relief to prevent continued or threatened misuse, disclosure, distribution, or retention of Community Compass Data.
- Seeking recovery for damages or losses caused by a violation of this Agreement.
- Seeking reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs, and other expenses where permitted by law or this Agreement.
- Taking action against an individual, campaign, organization, or other entity responsible for or benefiting from unauthorized use of Community Compass Data.
Political HQ’s decision not to immediately enforce a provision of this Agreement does not waive its right to enforce that provision or pursue available remedies at a later time.
Section 9. Agreement and Acknowledgment
By accepting this Community Compass Tool Access and Data Use Agreement, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The Community Compass and Community Compass Data are shared Organizing for Good resources.
- Community Compass Data remains subject to this Agreement when it is shared, copied, transferred, reformatted, reproduced, entered into another system, or otherwise used outside of Political HQ.
- Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers are not exclusive resources of any particular candidate, campaign, political organization, Other Organization, or individual.
- Candidates and Campaign Participants may use the Community Compass to locate and coordinate with existing Community Connectors and Organizing for Good Volunteers but may not use it to operate or manage a campaign or create an exclusive campaign volunteer resource.
- Other Organizations may use the Community Compass or Community Compass Data only for authorized Organizing for Good purposes and may not convert shared resources into exclusive organizational resources.
- If the use of the Community Compass or Community Compass Data results in identifying or connecting with an individual who is not already an existing Community Connector or Organizing for Good Volunteer, that individual must be referred to Political HQ and the applicable Organizing for Good onboarding process.
- Community Compass Data may only be shared in accordance with this Agreement, and sharing the information does not remove or change the restrictions governing its use.
- You may not use another person, campaign, organization, service, system, or platform to perform an activity that would otherwise violate this Agreement.
- You agree to use the Community Compass and Community Compass Data only for purposes consistent with Organizing for Good and its authorized initiatives.
- You understand that Political HQ may monitor activity and may restrict, suspend, or revoke access for violations of this Agreement or conduct that materially undermines the Organizing for Good movement.
